 PRAYER LIFE AT QUINTON PARK

Many people find comfort within prayer.

We encourage our congregation to pray regularly for the people and life of Quinton Park and the local community.

Prayer points September 2024
Jeremiah 18: 1 – 6 – the Potter:
“So the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as he seemed best to
him” (v4)

“Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand” (v6)
Lord, teach us to let go control & allow you to shape us the way you
want/need us to be.
Prayer points based around the Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in
heaven

 For our mission projects – Warm Welcome restart, QP Pantry launch
and QP Adventurers
 For discipleship and small groups
 That our new sermon series, Kingdom Culture, shapes us to bring in
God’s kingdom

Give us this day our daily bread
 Pray for the needs of our fellowship
 Pray for our young people at the start of a new school year, and
renewed links with local schools; as well as those going to university.
For teachers and parents. For Sunday School and those who lead.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us

 Confession
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
 For protection
For Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory,
forever and ever.

 Praise and thanksgiving

Ways to Pray:

On your own

We know it isn’t always possible to join together, but when we can’t be together ‘in body’, we can still be praying together ‘in spirit’. Please use the prayer points above, and the prayer times below to pray with us.

Prayer partners/triplets

Is there someone you could meet with or pray on the phone with? Prayer walks – on your own, or with others. Pray for God’s blessing on the area and that he would show us how we can serve him here..

Opportunities to pray together:

· Sundays 10am in church

· Praise and prayer NOW 1st & 3rd Monday of the month

We invite a greater awareness of the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit. -

We encourage one another, and our faith rises. -

We learn to let go of seeking our own purposes and start to open ourselves up to what God wants

Whatever/however/whenever you pray, please share with the diaconate any thoughts/insights/pictures/words of encouragement. There is a book available at the front of church to gather any thoughts, pictures, or visions (please ask if you can’t find it). In praying together, we invite a greater awareness of the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage one another, and our faith rises. We learn to let go of seeking our own purposes and start to open ourselves up to what God wants.
